Part 1 of the Journey: Bienvenue à Paris et Versailles

Nothing quite like freshly made croissants in Paris!

Nothing quite like freshly made croissants in Paris!

Yesterday was cloudy, windy, cold, and occasionally we were rained on, yet all-in-all it was fun. We always begin our morning with a walk down the street to our favorite patisserie for croissants and then off to the train station for another day of adventure. Yum! Now that we have breakfast sorted let’s venture and see what the day brings. Before we get to Versailles though, let me show you some of the previous days of adventure from the Eiffel Tower to the Notre Dame and along the Quai… very beautiful!

A visit to the infamous Eiffel was our first day out and we pretty much viewed it through a haze of tiredness. But we will go back and view it at night all lit up.

What’s a visit to Paris without the Eiffel Tower

Notre Dame was very impressive. The artistic minds which created this… well it’s far beyond my own ability to even conceive something so magnificent!

It covered such a large area, it seemed we walked for blocks to get around the entirety of it.
Amazing workmanship with all the spires.

The backside of Notre Dame... another one of the gardens.

I don’t think it’s possible for one to take in the magnitude of the history all at once. One must stop, sit in the garden and ponder it all.

Or possibly stroll along the Sein.
