All around us life happens if we are just cognisant enough to observe it. The opening pictures I caught were of a little girl helping her mother sweep the store before opening to the public. It was a beautiful moment captured in time because I was looking. There’s also all the sounds and things happening on the street. Open markets bustling with hawkers selling their wares, congestion of traffic waiting for lights to change to get things moving again. People coming, people going; always the hubbub of something filling the air.

The sides of the world we have been experiencing lately have been noisy. Rick and I were just commenting on it this morning. We’re two peas in a pod who like silence at some point in our day. Yet, the days have started noisy, continued noisy, and finished noisy. Today though we are experiencing quiet at our friend’s house. The only sound is the clicking of fingers on four different keyboards, each working on their own computers. I can hear the breeze through the screens, the soft whirl of the washing machine, and the occasional sigh. Nice! And life happens… even in the quiet.

Rick had a chance to play a game of golf this week with a couple of Aussie blokes. When asked how the course was, his response… “challenging.” Although, he did say the clubs were the major issue. Right!
We have had such a wonderful time in Malaysia and in Perth. Seeing friends after years have gone by, and yet it was as if it was just yesterday. It will be hard, come Sunday, when we must say goodbye again. I wonder how many years will pass this time before we sit in each others company once more. Speaking of yesterday, it was off to a wine tour and then a cruise down the Swan River… a VERY relaxing day. We visited two wineries, a chocolate company, and then to the boat. I wouldn’t say I enjoyed every wine, however, who could fault any kind of chocolate? Not me!
So that’s our story thus far. I do hope you continue to journey with us as we discover life and enjoy friends, old and new, around the world.
Blessings,
Diane & Rick

Cindy, every single one of the thousands of terracotta warriors has a different face. It truly is amazing! Some are standing, Some are kneeling archers, some beside horses; all different.
