About the author Along the Way: life begins at home yet our door is forever open to adventure, new places and new people. Welcome to our travels around the world.

This blog is really about us, my husband Rick and I and our travels. We are retired with grown children and two granddaughters. We travel...exhilarating in new experiences and places and all that each day holds. We believe that life begins to fade once we fail to live into it anymore. So come along the way with us and enjoy the journey too!

  2. It is a beautiful little town and I am enjoying it immensely! Far more than Bayonne, France… and I love France, so that should tell you something!

  3. Great photos, Diane. Thanks for sharing your journey – and don’t worry about writing too much because you know what they say, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” I can almost feel the warm air, feel the cobblestones under my feet, the joy of sipping a drink in an outdoor cafe, and seeing the ancient stonework of the doorways that make me wonder how many people have passed under those arches.

  4. Thanks Di! It seems I never get tired of looking and touching and shooting photos of all this history. It fills my head with stories.
