Ermita Guadalupe Hondarribia way up on the hillFinally met the rest of the Fresco group yesterday. There are only 7 of us plus 2 guides, small and intimate. We began our hike yesterday and just as I suspected it was a steep incline. Yet, regardless of how steep, rocky or muddy, the scenery is spectacular. We have the sea on our left and the mountains on our right, or in this case the mountain was before us. We hiked up to Ermita Guadalupe Hondarribia which took us a couple of hours and then back down again via the van. Todays hike began where yesterdays left off, at Ermita Guadalupe up over a mountain and into the village of Pasaia Donibane, a very small fishing village with a huge port on the opposite side of the bay. The hump today wasn’t nearly as steep, however, it was very rugged and rocky which made it difficult in traversing the path at times. Tomorrow we are hiking into San Sebastian. For now though, they say a picture is worth a thousand words so I will post what has been taken for the past two day.
