Island Fever

Leaving Quebec last Thursday we again turned the wheels eastward, this time to Fredericton, New Brunswick. Instead of staying on the Trans Canada, which only surrounds you with bush on both sides, we decided to take a more scenic route and see a few villages in between. Since we were just overnighting in Fredericton, the drive was the highlight of the day.

Following a long day of driving in the rain, stopping for people and doggie breaks we arrived in Fredericton and it was lights out for us. The next day we were on the road again and heading to P.E.I. We crossed over the 8 mile long Confederation Bridge which links Prince Edward Island to mainland New Brunswick. P.E.I., home of Anne of Green Gables, Victorian houses, cottages, and of course lobster. Stopping for a lobster roll, which I ate without taking a picture, we were back on the road to Charlottetown for the night and more lobster for dinner…at least for me!

All for me!
All for me!

Published by Along the Way: life begins at home yet our door is forever open to adventure, new places and new people. Welcome to our travels around the world.

This blog is really about us, my husband Rick and I and our travels. We are retired with grown children and two granddaughters. We travel...exhilarating in new experiences and places and all that each day holds. We believe that life begins to fade once we fail to live into it anymore. So come along the way with us and enjoy the journey too!
