Travelling the Oregon and California coast, stopping in quaint little fishing touristy towns, eating dang good sea food and loving all those photo ops; life couldn’t be better. This post is a catch up blog covering our drive from Astoria, Oregon to Petaluma, California
We tried to catch as many lighthouses as we could. Some were too far out in the ocean for my lens to catch while others we simply missed. Yet we didn’t miss the lighthouse interpretive center.
Dogs and people, most times endearing, often quirky and occasionally strange doing strange things. We’ve met a number of very nice people on this trip. As long as one has a smile and a kind word then wonderful conversations can begin.
For most of the trip it has rained. As I sit and write this it is pouring. Thank goodness I am inside and not out. However much it might have rained on the trip thus far, we didn’t let it stop us from taking a walk on a beach or playing with Roo in the water or trying to snap that one take-my-breath-away pic while driving and shooting in between wiper swipes.
We’ve also passed a few places that sit in perfect spots with breathtaking views. After-all, who wouldn’t want a house with a beautiful ocean view?
Speaking of ocean views, Rick and I are not the only ones trying to capture that perfect wave beating against the rocks. The foamy seas crashing into shore, just so long as you never turn your back on the ocean .
People, places, things and dogs; what would life be without any of it. Damn boring! So pick up that camera, take a walk or a drive and click away. Your attempt at capturing life’s beauty and rawness just might bring a smile to someone who needs a bit of cheering today.
