Our first day here finds four of us so far. Two more couples are due in later in the morning and for the next eight days the men will either be golfing or touring with us girls.
It has been three days; hours of meandering a bustling city, amazing food in old Irish pubs and experiencing the original Riverdance show at the Gaiety Theatre.
We’ve visited museums, Trinity College, the Book of Kells, the Long Room (Trinity Library), and have wandered through beautiful Saint Stevens Green.
This ends our stay in Dublin. So much to see and so little time. It only means at some point in my life I must return to experience the rest of it. Stay tuned as this morning we head to Galway to begin another journey.
I have been to Dublin several times and find it a fascinating city, in spite of the almost always grey skies – but I guess that is what pubs are for. I had a lovely stew in a Dublin pub, accompanied by Guinness, of course, which warmed me up and set me out exploring again. I look forward to your adventures in Galway. For some reason we never stayed there but journeyed northwest through to Clifden, on the ocean.
