It has been quite the past 2 days. We have traveled from Dublin to Galway, Galway to Connemara and back again, Conmacnoise and now we now we have arrived in Killarney.
Galway is one of those hip university cities; quiet when school is out and rocking when the kids are back with busy streets, noisy pubs and electricity in the air.
We left Galway and began one day with a stop at a whisky distillery in Kilbeggan where nearly all partook of the tour. I much preferred the homemade chocolate place right next door.
From that point on wards the scenery just improved greatly. We have touched the ancient ruins in Conmacnoise.
Spent time at Kylemore Abby with it’s old castle situated on a beautiful lake, visited the church and walked it’s walled in garden.
We have braved the gusts of wind and rain to climb the Cliffs of Moher.
Then drove the small village of Lahinch to warm our bodies with food, beverage and good conversation with the staff.
It was back on the road to Killarney with a brief stop in Adare to take in the quaint village buildings with thatched roofs and lovely central park.
Thus finishes another day in green, green Ireland.
