Museums

Museums: places of history, story and wonderment.

Before leaving Amsterdam there were three museums we set out to see, the Rijksmuseum, the Bible museum and the Jewish museum. Each one of these gave a different perspective of life, of art and of collectibles. Stories were told as in the Jewish museum, what was inflicted upon them and those who survived.

Where the Jewish museum was a humbling experience the Rijksmuseum was one of stark contrast featuring items of opulence as well as beautiful artwork.

Then we come across the Bible museum which really was only the top floor of another museum which had been one families obsession of collecting things. Many things of all sorts.

So ends another brief picture story for today.
