Wandering Canadians

There is a point on holiday when all the days mesh and one even forgets what day it is.

We are getting close to the end of our journey and truth be told… I feel like a nomad. We have traveled four countries thus far and just as my days are beginning to mesh so are the countries. We are both longing for our own beds, our own pillows, and most of all… SPACE. Because days have been moving rapidly through various places today’s post will be a melange of everything you’ve been missing over the past few days with us. We’ll begin with The Hague, Bruges, and our stay with wonderful friends. Below are images from the Peace Palace grounds.

The photos above are from the Peace Palace grounds in The Hague and the ones below are shots from around the city.

With the Matis family we made a day trip into Bruges, Belgium.

It was a great time with so much to see and so little time. Brugge-01516Alas I never got past The Hague or Bruges yet the road is calling us again and we must pack the bags and move on. Until another day… Vaarwel!

About the author Along the Way: life begins at home yet our door is forever open to adventure, new places and new people. Welcome to our travels around the world.

This blog is really about us, my husband Rick and I and our travels. We are retired with grown children and two granddaughters. We travel...exhilarating in new experiences and places and all that each day holds. We believe that life begins to fade once we fail to live into it anymore. So come along the way with us and enjoy the journey too!

  2. We’ve just arrived in a tiny village where we’ll stay for the night in a converted old barn. Our room is where the 🐄 (cows) used to be. Blog and pictures in a day or two.
