Louvre fountainsEverywhere one looks in France there is art, awe-inspiring and breathtaking art. There is so much it is over-whelming at times and my camera cannot possibly catch the allurement of it all. It is impossible for me to even comprehend the devout devotion of the artists who had conceived and created these masterpieces. Today we are in Toulouse, but three days ago we visited the Louvre in Paris. This post is all about our experience of the Louvre, not strictly the paintings, but the architecture and the beautiful grounds as well. As for a post about Toulouse, it will come soon, for we arrived late last night and only finished our walking tour this afternoon. Tomorrow morning we head out early for the slow train through the Pyrénées to Barcelona. It will be a long trip so I will hopefully post of Toulouse tonight.Looking from the gardensThe Louvre blocks longThe crucifixion of ChristBoundDavid and GoliathRemains of an angelCeiling frescoesStill looking upwardsCeiling fresco
